Parla relies on a small set of permissions to translate conversations on top of WhatsApp. This page explains what data we collect, how subscriptions work, and how to reach us if you have questions.
Parla stores only the data required to operate the Android overlay and manage subscriptions. We never copy entire WhatsApp conversations to our servers. Crash logs and purchase status are anonymous and used to keep the service running.
Overlay and accessibility permissions allow Parla to display on top of WhatsApp and detect the active chat for translation context. You can revoke permissions from Android Settings → Apps → Parla at any moment, and the app will stop running until permissions are restored.
All payments are processed by Google Play. We do not store credit card information. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel directly from the Play Store subscription center, and those changes sync automatically in Parla.
